Samuel Kennedy has practiced bankruptcy law since 2015. In 2016, he graduated from Auburn University on a NROTC scholarship with a B.A. in History. Shortly after graduation, Mr. Kennedy commissioned in the Marine Corps as a 2nd Lieutenant. There, he attended The Basic School through July 4th 2010 to January 2011.
On November 6th, 2010 he married college sweetheart Katie Kennedy (formerly known as Katie Elmore). The two shortly after their marriage moved to Okinawa, Japan, where he was stationed until 2014. During their stay, they had two children: William Michael Kennedy (6) and Brayden James Kennedy (4).
As his stay in Japan was near ending, he took online courses in paralegal studies from The University of Alabama through November 2013 to March 2014. He then joined the Marine Corps Reserves in June of 2014 to August 2017. When he left active duty, he came back to the states to attend Paul M. Herbert Law Center at Louisiana State University in August of 2014 to June 2017.
During his tenure at LSU, Mr. Kennedy welcomed a third child into his life, Aubrey Kate Kennedy on September 21st, 2015. As Samuel Kennedy attend LSU for law, he worked in the Paul. M. Herbert Law Center Library from February 2015 to May 2017. He graduated from LSU with a J.D. and Masters in Comparative Law (D.C.L).
After Mr. Kennedy graduated from LSU, he moved to Auburn, Alabama where he continued to pursue his dream of being an attorney. He joined Carmichael Law Group in June of 2017 where he was a paralegal. Mr. Kennedy took the Alabama Bar Exam in July of 2017 and received notice that he officially passed on September 21st, 2017. He has then been admitted to the Northern and Middle District of Alabama on October 12th, 2017.
